Proposed Arnold Valley Hydro Electric Power Scheme

TrustPower Limited has applied for resource consents from the West Coast Regional Council and Grey District Council to construct, operate and maintain a hydroelectric power scheme within the Arnold Valley (The Scheme).

The Scheme is to be located in the middle reaches of the Arnold River Valley. The proposed intake works are to be located on the true left bank of the Arnold River at or about the existing Arnold River Dam. Water is to be diverted into a canal and pond system before being discharged back into the Arnold River at the western end of Killeen Island.
